SPOT Service

The SPOT service consists of the SPOT API and the SPOT Server. The system provides an approach for the same tag to be used by different users to deliver different results.

This is achieved by different data frames that are stored in the SPOT Database by different application administrators. These data frames can be used by the Users to create, read, update and delete data based on their permissions.

Each user is admitted after authentication and each tag is verified, its microlocation is validated and the response is provided after a threshold is achieved for accuracy of its location. Different thresholds can be set for different actions according to the Users profile permissions.

A permission table allows for rules to be set by the data owner on who is allowed to exchange data. A detailed configuration methodology means several application providers can be hosted with each application being used by a variety of service providers.
